Support to Build my Dream Bar & Grill with Reggae Music
Our community is our family. It is what ties us together, helps us support and be there for each other. COVID-19, though unfortunate, has been a great example of how we can fight the worst of evils only if we are there for each other, we understand and support each other. This time has also given me a lot of opportunities to think about how I want to give back to my community in the best way I’m capable of – through cultural awareness and Reggae music and do that through a Caribbean themed bar & grill because nothing connects people more than food.
Coming from Caribbean background, I started to follow the Rastafarian culture after my time in the service. I believe there is a lot that I can help others learn about how Reggae music can really be uplifting in challenging times like these. Opening a Caribbean themed bar and grill has also been a long-standing dream of mine and I am grateful that these tough times have given me the chance to bring two of my dreams together. This bar & grill, while serving food that would live and breathe all things Caribbean, from the spices to the aroma, from the look to the feel, will also serve as a platform for me and other local Reggae musicians to give people an opportunity to learn and explore about how Rastafarian culture is a wonderful way of life. It will serve as an opportunity for us to not only come together but also feel united in our love for music.
I am here to ask for your support to collect an estimated amount of $250k that would go into building the bar & grill. This is an investment in ourselves and our community, a chance for us help each other climb up the ladder and support each other as we move forward in our journey. I’m sure that when the bar & grill is up and running not only will it open work opportunities for people in these times of need but also give musicians like me a platform to showcase what we can give to this world.
These are times like none other and I’m utterly grateful for all your support and wishes. Thank you for thinking of me and supporting my dream. I look forward to giving back to the community and making us stronger than ever.
