Regan De Guzman is the only Filipino who has qualified to play in the 2017 LPGA professional golf tour. This accomplishment is unbelievably amazing; however, Regan's journey has truly just begun. Recently graduating from San Jose State University and transitioning from her student visa, Regan is primarily depending on financial support from her single-parent mom, Tet De Ocampo Guzman, who is still based in the Philippines.
Financial success is not guaranteed for the LPGA tour. If Regan does not make the cut to play the weekend, she gets $0 for her effort. Even if she makes the cut, the prize money are only in the low thousands for most of the players. And for Regan to retain her tour card for next year, she needs to be in the 100th to 125th in the tour earnings ranking. Unfortunately, the money is not the same between the PGA and LPGA tours.

Aside from the potentially low pay, participating in the tour exacts numerous forms of expenses -- lodging, travel, caddy, coach -- and Regan isn't even considering international travel for this year.
This fundraising campaign is to help Regan and Tet to jumpstart Regan's dream to have a long career as an LPGA tour professional. This will help Regan to put her focus on the golf course to make her tournament cuts and to ensure her tour card for next year. Whatever else she achieves will then be icing on the cake.
Most importantly, this will empower Regan to pursue her bigger dream of inspiring and giving back to a younger generation of girls and boys who like her have challenges in their lives but are not going to be denied their dreams.
All funds raised will be forwarded to Tet De Ocampo Guzman or Regan De Guzman, and all proceeds will be directly applied to cover Regan's pro tour expenses for this year.
