Hello!
My name is Regan Burgess and I am currently a Senior at the University of Arkansas. I will graduate from the University of Arkansas as a member of the Honors College with a Bachelors degree in Biology on May 11, 2018. As my undergraduate career comes to a wrap, I plan to pursue my dream of becoming a physician. With this goal, I will be applying to medical school for the Fall 2019 Term. However, before then, I would love to expand my knowledge of medicine and global health abroad in Thailand!
This trip is a medical shadowing opportunity that will last for four weeks all across the beautiful country of Thailand! During this time, I will have the opportunity to work alongside physicians and other medical personell at the Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) in Northeastern Thailand. I will also be given the opportunity to perform volunteer work in local villages near the Nakhon Rachasima Province in northeast Thailand.
I will be departing the US on June 29th and returning on July 28. All of the raised funds will go directly to my program fees and flight to Thailand.
I am so excited for this opportunity, and I cannot wait to be able to study medicine on a global scale!
