6 years ago our beloved Regan was involved in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Since then, she has been working every single day to recover back to her "normal" self. Though Regan still can't talk, walk, or fully comprehend things, her smile and positivity help her make it through everyday. Regan's family, friends and even strangers hope to one day hear her voice and see her walking on her own.
Our family is lucky enough to live back in San Diego, CA. Regan is happy, healthy and still on the road to recovery. Regan is gaining back her sense of humor and good mood and although she still suffers from bouts of confusion and memory problems, she is handling it better everyday. She was unfortunately has not been provided funding from insurance for therapy for several years and our family has been investing in private physical therapy in our home. Regan also has extensive medical expensive to cover items such as incontinence supplies and products for her feeding tube. She is constantly making us proud with her strides and I hope she will continue to be motivated and improve until she is as recovered as much as possible.
