2 weeks ago Trent went to the doctor for a kidney stone. The doctor order a CT scan to see how big the stone was and discovered over 40 nodules in his lower lungs and stomach. He was immediately referred to another doctor for a PET scan. They found even more nodules and a very large lymph node. They were almost positive it was lymphoma. He was sent to have the lymph node removed and biopsied. This Friday we got the news that it was stage 4 mestatis melanoma. Shock is a pretty good word to describe how we feel. Trent is a very active husband and father of 3. He is the Cheif of Police in their town, and a football coach at the local high school. He is one of the most genuine, kind, giving people you will ever know. In conversation with us after we found out he said, "cancer doesn't know who it's messing with. It has no idea how stubborn I am. I refuse to lose!"
