Refugees Are Welcome Here

Donation protected
Yesterday, a nonprofit in Denver was threatened and violated because of the work they do with refugees from all over the world. Project Worthmore was started by Frank and Carolyn Anello, and literally grew from the ground up. The vast array of their services cannot be adequately described in a few paragraphs, but I will say, that to the refugee communities they serve, their work is invaluable. As most of us know, now is the time to band together in support of grassroots efforts like these. Many people have reached out to ask me what they can do to help. Well, right now, Project Worthmore needs to beef up their security in order to ensure that their employees and clients stay safe.

Project Worthmore runs an organic farm that provides food to refugee families. They provide English classes and job readiness programs that support refugee integration. There is a dental clinic in the Project Worthmore building that is staffed with gentle, qualified dentists who distribute free care to refugees who have sometimes never seen a dentist in their lives. Dental care is an issue that has been severely overlooked for our refugee neighbors, and Project Worthmore really is groundbreaking in their efforts to change that.

Please, if you want to do something truly helpful, put your money where your mouth is. Donate what you can to this fundraiser. Every penny will be given to the Project Worthmore family in the hopes of protecting and continuing the amazing services they provide to displaced families.

Thank you.
