Reece's Transplant Warriors

This sweet couple, and their dog, Abe, experienced an unimaginable Valentine’s Day. Reece Pasley, age 36, had always been very healthy, but then became ill with sinus/cold symptoms around the beginning of February. He began taking over the counter cold meds to treat his symptoms. These contained Tylenol products that more than likely contributed to the inflammation of his liver. Additionally, there are genetic liver issues on both sides of his family. On February 14, he could barely walk and was yellow from jaundice. He went to his primary care physician and was told he was in acute liver failure and was rushed to UAMS. He was told that he had a 50% chance of getting better, or that he would deteriorate rapidly. He began to rapidly deteriorate, and given only 2 weeks to live. He then coded the following day and was revived after 10 minutes of life saving intervention and transferred to the ICU. While in the ICU he was placed on a ventilator and started on dialysis because he was now in kidney and liver failure. His condition continued to decline and the doctors were not hopeful. A family meeting was called so that his family and his team of physicians could discuss what limited options he had left. But…. Then…. GOD The Great Healer, The Great Physician took over! Prayers were lifted across churches, among friends, through social media and the supernatural healing powers of our amazing God began to bring Reece back. The ventilator was removed, his kidney function continued to improve and he was taken off continuous dialysis. However, he is not out of the woods yet. The only thing that will save his life is a liver transplant. Reece was accepted by one of the attending doctors at the Methodist hospital in Memphis. Once he is discharged from UAMS, he will be seen by the transplant doctor at Methodist to determine his candidacy for a liver transplant.

Because so many have reached out wanting to do something, this page has been set up in hopes that we can help provide coverage for the transplant and any other associated medical expenses. On November 5th, he has to be standing at the altar watching his beautiful bride to be walking towards him to start their forever. We love and appreciate all of you for your prayers. Please share this amazing story. We hope it will bring others to Christ.
