Current Update

On February 25th, Brandon and Alison welcomed their two sweet girls - Sawyer Rose and Remington JoAnne into the world. The complications were becoming extremely unsafe for both Alison and the babies, resulting in a life-saving emergency c-section with the babies being delivered at 6:41 and 6:42 pm.  Alison delivered Sawyer and Remi at 30 weeks and 1 day. Both girls will be in the NICU for several months as they are facing significant complications. Sawyer Rose weighed 3 lbs. 12 oz. Remi JoAnne weighed 2 lbs. 11oz.

Back Story
Brandon and Alison have been together for the last 7 years. In October of 2017, they learned exciting news that their family would be growing as they are expecting the arrival of their twin girls in May of 2018. Early on in Alison’s pregnancy, the couple learned that their pregnancy was high-risk, as they are facing many challenges and complications. A few of the complications are filamentous chord insertion (occurs in less than 4% of pregnancies), severe intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), and chronic placental abruption (occurs in 1% of pregnancies). They’ve had numerous weekly doctor appointments at their local OBGYN and at a high-risk clinic in Denver. Their team of doctors have been monitoring both the twin’s and Alison’s health closely to ensure their safety. Alison has been admitted into the hospital several times throughout her pregnancy due to the complications. In February of 2018, it was decided that Alison needed to be indefinitely admitted into the High-Risk Women’s Care Unit at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver until the arrival of their twin girls. Alison is currently 29 weeks pregnant, and the couple prays every day that the girls don’t make their arrival for several more weeks. Due to these complications, things could change at any moment and the twins may need to be delivered immediately for the safety of Alison and themselves. It’s very realistic that the girls will need to be in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) after they’re born for an unknown amount of time.

The couple is facing high medical bills for Alison’s current hospitalization and in preparation for the girl’s stay in the NICU. Alison hasn’t been working since the beginning of February, and Brandon has had to take a significant amount of time off from work to care for Alison through her high-risk pregnancy. Any financial assistance and help would be greatly appreciated for the couple.
