Reduce Suffering-Help Spay And Neuter

Donation protected
My name is Terri Amato, my husband Jim and I live in Asheville, North Carolina.

We have been fortunate to vacation on the beautiful island of Antigua. Over the past few years, we have noticed an increase in the number of stray, abandoned and neglected dogs and cats. As a tourist I was sad and frustrated not knowing how to help.

This is the reason I have set up this Go Fund Me page to benefit The Antigua Spay and Neuter Clinic. Reducing the overpopulation of unwanted or uncared for animals is the way forward.

The Co-Vid 19 pandemic has had a major effect on travel and tourism. Many Antigua people have been hard hit economically and can no longer afford to care for their pets. Overpopulation has increased dramatically. Many dogs are injured by automobiles when roaming the island seeking a mate. Even more animals suffer starvation, dehydration, parasites, and injuries from fighting. The rescue groups work tirelessly to care and advocate for these animals, but they cannot do it alone. The overpopulation of non-spay or neutered animals is overwhelming.

The Antigua Spay and Neuter clinic is a registered nonprofit in good standing. Their work directly effects the people and animals of Antigua. They offer discounted Spay and Neutering for just $75EC to people with financial hardships. Their aim is to directly help low-income pet owners, people with multiple pets, and seniors spay and neuter their pets, thus breaking the cycle of overpopulation and abandonment. The community program helps in areas where feral cats and dogs have gotten out of hand. They work directly with neighbors to capture, spay, or neuter the animals and home as many as possible. They work with rescue groups as well.
The Go Fund Me funds raised in this campaign will be used to advance the work of the Antigua Spay and Neuter Clinic. All funds will be deposited into a bank account I have set up for the express purpose of the Antigua Spay and Neuter Clinic. I will wire transfer the funds directly to their bank account in Antigua. All wire transfer documents will be made available upon request. This campaign was set up with the input and oversight of Rachel Wood, President of the Antigua Spay and Neuter clinic, and Jane seagull, the treasurer.

PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS GOAL A REALITY!! Together we can curb the overpopulation of dogs and cats and help people keep their pets safe and healthy. No donation is too small, and it will make a lasting impact!!

Thank you so much for your support,
Terri Amato
