Recovery for Moises Morales

Donation protected
Recovery and Medical Support for our dear friend, Husband, Father and fellow rider: Moises Morales

First and foremost, we are all lucky that Moises is still alive and recovering.   On Wednesday night, August 30th, Moises and fellow Chitown Ruckus scooter rider Bruce, were traveling westbound on Grand Avenue in the near west side of Chicago.

A car with an inebriated driver turned left in front of them and struck Moises head-on sending him flying about 15-20ft up in the air.   The driver of the vehicle allegedly took-off and fled from the scene, only to be captured by Chicago Police shortly after.  The accident resulted in multiple bone fractures in his legs, arm and shoulder as well as head trauma .

After several surgeries lasting over 8 hours, they had to reconstruct and pin his left shoulder, arm and right leg and a cast on his left leg. He is conscious and speaking but recovery will be a long and painful process.

Your support and generous donation will go directly to Moises, his wife Jasmine and 9 year old daughter.  It will help them get through the next 8-10 months of recovery and lost time from work.  Jasmine has expressed her gratitude and thankfulness to the other rider Bruce, who stayed with him and saved his life and to those witnesses that tracked down the fleeing driver who  was apprehended by the police.   Your generous donation will help Moises and his family get through this horrible tragedy.
