Recovery for Ashlee

On August 22, 2018, my best friend Ashlee was at the gym enjoying her daily run when she collapsed and became unresponsive.  Her heart had stopped. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital where her heart stopped 3 more times. She was put into a medically induced coma for a week and the doctors began to run tests. 


10 days later we still don’t know what happened to her heart to cause this. Ashlee is still in ICU and is preparing to have a defibrillator inserted that she will now have for the rest of her life. Once the defibrillator is inserted, she will be going to a neurological rehab facility where she will learn to walk and talk again.  Ashlee and her family have a long road ahead of them.  


Ashlee and her husband, Justin, have a beautiful 4 year old daughter, Ella.  Not only will they need financial help with the hospital and rehab facility bills, they will also need help paying for their daughter’s care and education.
