Recover Gary's Records!!

Donation protected
Hello!

I'm Elaine - If you don't know me, pleased to meet you - If you know me, you know I like records. A lot. And many of my friends do, too, including an old acquaintance of mine, Gary Miller.

Gary is currently in ICU with a severe lung infection - While away, his record collection, his most prized thing in life, was stolen. About 2000 records were taken, and his daughter April and I have been trying our hardest to locate them. I have been in touch with dozens and dozens of vinyl collectors in the city, and we have been lucky enough to track down a couple of buyers.

One has decided to return the records he had purchased, at no loss to the family, and the family is hugely thankful for that.

Our second buyer is hoping to recoup what they invested.  They purchased approximently 500 albums. We are working on getting them back.  Any funds raised here will go towards replenishing the rest of Gary's lost collection, which he spent decades building,  and on potentially offsetting the cost associated with getting back the ones that have been located.

Below you will see the call for help April previously made on Facebook - Let's help this girl get her Dad's records back so she can focus on being there for him while he is in hospital fighting for his life.

Time for us Newfoundlanders to rally together and show support - As our own Bud Davidge from Simani sang:
I"ve done a lot of living and I"ve found
No matter where you go the whole world round
They always go together hand in hand
Where there"s one, there"ll be the other, music and friends
When blue skies turn to grey and hide the sun
With tired hands, their daily work now done
Nothing seems to turn things "round again
And make the old world right, like music and friends

*** Post for Gary's Daughter, April, below, so you can read the full story of why I've created this fundraiser.

Thanks for reading.

Post from Facebook:
April Miller: Help! PLEASE anyone with any information or anyone who purchased any vinyl records between May 15th and yesterday May 16th on Lemarchant road can you please reach out to me!!!
A family member of mine, went into my fathers house and stole and sold all of his cherished collection. Years and years worth of priceless vinyl. Hundreds of them! Mine and my families hearts are so broken over this, as music is my dads whole entire life! And where I get my love for music as well. I’m absolutely gutted this person could do this to my dad. Especially right after my dad was rushed to the hospital in and ambulance from his severe lung condition. Heartbroken can’t even come close to describe how I’m feeling these last 2 days.
I don’t know what to do about this, the cops were notified, but I know the chances of seeing any of them again are not looking good. It would absolutely break my fathers heart if(when) he pulls through all this and has to come home to his whole life worth of music, gone.
I just want to get even a couple of them back if I can, my dad is currently fighting for his life in the ICU. PLEASE if anyone bought any or knows someone who bought a huge load of records I’ll re-buy them if I have to!!! Any info at all!
I’m going to attach just a couple pictures I have of his collection. The photos don’t show just how large his collection was but it’s all I can find right now. How someone could do this, I will never understand.
Also if everyone could say a little prayer for my dad too, it would mean so much.
Thank you.
