[re]consider

Donation protected
the [re]group is an artistic collective and social impact organization dedicated to the empowerment of public spirit and communal healing. Our mission is to provide art that is innovative, accessible, and audience driven.

[re]consider is the first theatrically aligned community event for the [re]group. Presenting an abridged adaptation of William Shakespeare's Henry VI Part III, [re]consider focuses on the privilege, power, and opportunity of choice, making audiences complicit in the question: is free will really free? Driven by our mission, this event is and will always be free to the public. Following the performance, we will provide a guided conversation inspired by [re]consideration.

In order to achieve our mission, we need your help! We are committed to keeping performances free to the public.  We also plan to expand our tour and increase outreach to various communities with less accessibility to theatre in the surrounding boroughs of Manhattan. These locations will include community centers, schools and veteran associations.

If it helps, think of your donation as the “cost” of a ticket; every bit helps! If you can’t donate, help us by attending one of our productions, information can be found below.

What do you need? What will my donation go towards?
The beauty of this project lies in its simplicity; we don’t need much!  We need artists, space, a few blocks and chalk. Your donations go directly to the cost of rehearsal and performance space and to providing our artists with a respectful stipend for their time.  And to chalk. LOTS OF CHALK. And paper crowns. And a chalkboard.

What is appropriate to donate?
Whatever amount is within your means, no amount is too small.
If you are able to donate $50 or more, we guarantee you premium seating for the performance of your choice.
