I am Vargo Williams, from Houston, Texas. My sister Sarah McIntyre and I are the daughters of Pete and Carita Goss. We started this campaign to help Pete and Carita as they rebuild their home of 30 years that was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey.

As Harvey sat over Houston, the sewage came up through the plumbing, then the floodwater poured in. Hurricane Harvey destroyed every single thing on the first floor. The images of them being rescued by a boat still feel unreal to my sister and me. This was the home where we grew up, and it had survived every preceding flood without taking on water. That night, they stayed with people in the neighborhood they had barely just met.

We are so grateful that mom and dad are safe and sound. They will rebuild, but the task ahead is daunting. All funds will go directly to them and help pay for dehumidifiers, contaminated appliances, basic furniture, flooring, sheetrock, cabinets and kitchenware.

We deeply appreciate any help, warm hug and healing thought. Thank you!
