Rebuilding Fund for the Lee Family

I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my in-laws, Bill (Won) and Emily Lee.
On July 31, 2020, a fire (now known as the Apple Fire) started just before 5pm along Oak Glen Road in Cherry Valley, CA. They Lee's noticed billowing smoke and ash coming towards their home and within minutes, they saw flames in their backyard. They barely had time to grab a few personal items and evacuate before the flames engulfed their house. Unfortunately, it was too late and the firefighters were unable to save their home. Their home was the first to be ravaged by the fire and they lost everything. We thank God they made it out safely.

Bill and Emily had just recently retired and moved cross country from South Carolina to California to enjoy their golden years. Working into their 70’s, they put their retirement savings into buying their forever home in Cherry Valley, CA. Bill spent the past few months renovating the property himself and just about completed before this tragedy struck. He was in the process of looking for property insurance but had not yet purchased a policy when the devastating fire hit, leaving them with a total loss.
The Lees have faithfully served their church and community. I have often witnessed their warm hearts serve and quietly give so generously to others, touching the lives of family and non-family alike. Can we take this opportunity to help them in their time of need? They are staying positive, counting their blessings, but this will be an unexpected, uplifting gift to them.
With Covid-19, we know that this is a difficult time for many so any amount, big or small, or even just your prayers will be very much appreciated! Whether you are a faith based person or not, the law of reciprocity belongs to all humanity and we pray that your generosity will bring you blessings where you need them most.
