Let's rebuild Baffa House Beirut together

I am Samer Ghorayeb, the owner of the Baffa House guesthouse in Beirut. On August 4th, the Beirut explosion tore the inside of my home and guesthouse to shreds. I've started this campaign to give my family a home again and my international family of guests their home back in the heat of Beirut.
Baffa House is a boutique guesthouse located in a historic building previously owned by my grandfather Antonio Baffa who migrated from Italy to Beirut in the early 1900s. A few years ago i decided to open Baffa House to honor the memory of my grandfather, to preserve the historic building that housed it, and to provide a home for my guests who would flock from all corners of the world and enjoy an authentic non-touristy experience in the heart of Beirut. Baffa House is currently ranked no.1 in its category on Tripadvisor.

On August 4, the heart of Beirut was ripped to shreds by a massive explosion that has destroyed over 50% of the city. Baffa House is located in the Mar Mkhayel district less than 1km away from the site of the explosion and so took a massive blow. Luckily my family and I were out of our guesthouse (which is also our home) when the explosion took place, so we are all thankfully in good health, however the windows, doors, interiors have been smashed to pieces. It now only stands as a shell of a building.
I have tried to keep Baffa House going despite near to zero occupancy in the past 10 months while Lebanon experienced a deep economic crisis and COVID 19. I've now poured all my savings to keep it open while hoping for a better day, then came this explosion. My savings have now run dry, and with the current situation any form of income from the business is non existent. My only hope to rebuild my home and your guesthouse it to turn to you, my guests, family, friends and friends of friends to help me bring our home back up on its feet again.
All the funds I manage to raise in this campaign will go into rebuilding Baffa House, this includes redecorating the entire interior, including fittings and furnishings, windows, doors etc. across 2 floors (including my house).
By supporting this campaign you are not only supporting a business you are preserving a historic and cultural icon in the heart of Beirut, and even more you are rebuilding a home for me to house my family. I thank you endlessly for any contribution you can make, no matter how small.
