Rebuilding After a Loss - Help me find Zoie

Hi, everyone. My name is LaShaie, and I’m reaching out to this incredible community during the most challenging time of my life. On a day that started with the simple intention of doing a good deed, my world was turned upside down in a few moments.

While I was preparing to drop off items to the Goodwill store, I was carjacked at gunpoint. In those terrifying moments, not only did I lose my car but also my beloved dog, Zoie, who was with me at the time. Zoie is more than just a pet; she is my family, constant companion, and friend. The thought of her being out there, possibly scared and alone, breaks my heart every second she’s not found.

Beyond the emotional toll of losing Zoie, the carjackers also took with them my medical school books, laptop essential for my classes, my wallet containing all my valuable information, and, of course, the items I had intended to donate. The financial strain of replacing these critical items is overwhelming, especially amidst the rigors of medical school.

I am creating this GoFundMe not only to raise funds to replace the stolen items and help in the search for Zoie but also to spread awareness about the impact of such crimes on individuals and communities. The funds raised will go towards:

- Replacing my stolen medical school books and laptop, indispensable for my education.

- Costs associated with the search for Zoie, including flyers, rewards, and other resources to help bring her home.

- Replacing my wallet and the personal and valuable information it contained.

- Repair my vehicle, as my car was an essential part of my daily life, especially for my commitments to medical school and community service.
