Rebuild Thomas Family Home
Donation protected
First, I would Like to give honor to God and his infinite widsom and power. On March 9, 2018 my brother and his family experienced a situation that none of us ever hope to experience, a house fire. The reason I said that God is all knowing in his infinite power; is because No One was home when this fire occurred. My brother and his wife went to an early morning doctors visit and the kids were at school. This fire left them with their LIFE... and only the clothes on their backs, as far as the material things they lost everything.
This house was not just any home; it was the first Thomas family home built by my father in the mid 50's where he and my mother raised 11 children. This house also held historical memories in which Civil Rights Activist, Stokely Carmichael visited on many occasions during the Freedom Organization in the early 60's. While at the time of the fire my brother and his family lived in the home, me and my siblings will miss our own special moments spent in this home. Even as they attempt to rebuild there are some things they can never get back. Although our father passed away 4 yrs ago losing the home has felt like another death in the family. For this reason I am asking for your prayers and any donations your hearts may draw you to give, whether it be monetary, or household items to help them began to restore and rebuild. Hopefully this will be the step in the right direction to help this family put some pieces of their life back together.
Again I say thank you in advance for your support, your prayers and your donations. May God bless each of you. Please keep my family in your prayers.
