Rebuild Jude's Studio

Our friend and artist Jude suffered a devastating loss of property on April 24th. A structure fire on her property destroyed her studio, including all of her life's work, a lifetime of materials and tools, her office, her library, and countless other items that inspire and help her create her work.

Luckily no one was harmed! Jude was away at the time, and while her husband and animals were there, they were not injured. Thanks to the quick work of neighbors and local firefighters, the fire was contained to just the studio. Jude's home is fine. If you know Jude, then you know what a kind, generous, and giving person she is. Just last week she gave me a book, out of the blue, on garden art and design because she knows it is one of my passions. I’m sure we all have a similar story to share.

As a full-time, professional artist, she needs a studio so she can continue to provide for herself and manifest her brilliant creative genius. Here she is working out the technique for painting planets that she recently taught to Lone Pine High School students. It can be seen on campus as part of a mural project she developed and taught in 2022.
