In the early morning hours of July 29, lightning struck the Murray home, sparking a fire that led to a total loss. Thankfully, Holly, her children, and all of their animals except for one beloved kitty – made it out safely.

Now, the family is faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. Every day essentials were lost in the fire, and there is currently no place to store or replace what was destroyed. While insurance may help overtime, there are immediate needs that must be met.

After the fire, Holly posted a photo of the sunrise with a simple but powerful message: “on your darkest days, the sun will still rise“. She is one of the strongest women I know, and no matter the hardship, she will rise – just as she always has. And her kiddos, hard-working and resilient, will rise with her.
