Rebuild A Life For Christmas!

Donation protected
Hi and thanks for reading this,

My name's Andy and I'm helping to raise money to help make Christmas a little bit better for a family that needs it. My wife and I purchased a small rental property in early 2020. I was asked by one of the contractors if I would be renting it and he decided to move his family of 3, plus the occasional grandkid, out of their 20-foot travel trailer and into a new home. They have been incredible people ever since we met.

Pat and his daughter have been through hell for the last two years. After losing his wife and her mom to an infection last year, Pat did his best to keep things as normal as he could for his daughter and himself. They, as most would understand, took the loss very hard. After going through the stages most do after losing someone, the problems persisted for his daughter. After going to counseling and attending therapy, her grandparents got her a toy chihuahua in hopes to bring a little joy and remind her of her mom.

I got a call from Pat on Friday afternoon with horrible news. He stopped by to feed their three dogs lunch and was greeted with a wall of black smoke when he opened the front door. Something had begun smoldering in the primary closet and started a fire. He tried to run into the home to save the dogs, but the smoke was too thick. They ended up losing everything, including the toy chihuahua they got to help his daughter cope with the loss of her mom and their other dogs. Pat canceled his renter's insurance 2 months ago because it got too expensive; nothing will be covered. This happened on Friday, December 16th, 9 days before Christmas AND on her 13th birthday.

100% of any money donated will go straight to helping Pat and his daughter rebuild their lives. They need everything. I feel terribly for both, but especially his daughter. I can't help but imagine her coming home from school 9 days before Christmas on her birthday to find out she's lost everything including her puppy she got to help recover from the loss of her mom. If you could find it in your heart to help this family in their greatest time of need, I can't imagine the joy and small relief it would bring them. Thank you for reading and I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
