My beautiful brave best friend Rebekah Shields has just under gone brain surgery at 28 years old.
The following words are from Becky and her diagnosis what she has been through so far with more treatment to follow.
I have a primary brain tumour, a stage 3 (out of 4) glioma, my prognosis is 12-15 months without treatment. Longer with treatment. I have had brain surgery called "craniotomy de-bulking" to relieve pressure off my brain to stop the seizures. I am going to recieve chemotherapy and radio therapy to try and shrink it. I have been advised by other patients from walton to try alternative therapies but they cost around £700 each and the alkaline diet costs £90 per month. I know of 4 successful cases who have been cured using such therapies.
At this difficult time Becky has had to leave work and is unable to fund this treatment herself.
Can all you amazing friends, family and strangers please help no matter how small or big the donation and keep Becky smiling lets all support her through her journey and help her get the treatment she needs.
