Rebecca Wilson Living and Medical Costs

This is my really beloved lifelong friend Rebecca Wilson, who is lovely, wise, both gentle  and spirited and. I've known her since she was a young girl in Bolinas. Her mother Barbara was one of my father’s few loyal visitors when he had brain cancer, and two years after his death, Barbara died in my arms. Now nearly 40 years of friendship later, Rebecca needs community help: In January of 2016, she sustained a traumatic brain injury at work when she tripped over a cord and struck the side of her head as she fell.  The injury damaged some of the visual and spatial parts of her brain. Rebecca had published two books and was the editor for award-winning newspaper special sections, but since the injury, she has struggled with cognitive fatigue, concentration, reading, memory and her ability to process sound, light and motion. She is slowly recovering but has exhausted her resources, including state disability. She needs help with living and medical expenses to support her recovery process.
