Rebecca Cricket Tour to Sri Lanka Devon U15s Feb 2025

Hi, I'm Rebecca, a 14-year-old cricketer selected for Devon County U15 girls' team and I’m raising funds for an incredible 13-day cricket tour to Sri Lanka in February 2025.

I have been dreaming about this and working towards it for a very long time, and I am so excited to be part of this. All thanks to Devon Cricket Foundation for taking us.

My Cricket Journey

• I eat, breathe, and sleep cricket! and have been playing club cricket since I was 9.

• I play for North Devon Cricket Club (U19, 17, 15s, and have recently played for Senior 3rds, and mid-week team)

• I am a proud member of Tarka Ladies—North Devon Women cricket team (indoor and outdoor)

• I represent my school, The Maynard, Exeter, where I also help coach junior girls

• This summer I was very grateful to have been coached at NDCC by Roshan, from Sri Lanka – and I hope to meet him and show him how much I have improved

• I LOVE playing for my Club, my County and one day I would love to even play professionally.

Why This Matters

• It's only the second tour of its kind for Devon Girls Cricket

• It will be a fantastic start to the season, building our team of U15 Devon girls.

• This is a really important step towards my cricket career aspirations and playing international cricket

• It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to experience travel without my family, experience a different culture and see a beautiful part of the world

• We are playing 6 matches over 13 days in 3 locations in a hot and humid climate – so I will be challenging myself as a player and also as part of a team as well as my personal resilience.

• I am REALLY excited about increasing support and opportunities for women and girls in cricket

Fundraising Goal: £2,850

I'm working hard to raise funds through:

• Sponsorship from local clubs and businesses

• Organizing events

• Selling friendship bracelets

• Contributing my pocket money

You or your company can also support me by taking out an advert in the tour brochure - there are 1000 print copies to ALL the Devon cricket clubs as well as lots of sharing on social media and an electronic version. Fees are from £100 up and all artwork can be done for you. Please just ask my Mum for details and please share if you know anyone who would like to do this.
