READ ABOUT IT...BE ABOUT IT is the literacy initiative of The SEE Foundation, a North Carolina based non-profit organization. The SEE Foundation utilizes our children's book "Gary Sees History: A Childs Journey" as a tool to teach civic engagement, mentorship, consensus building and volunteerism for elementary school age children.

Our goal is to help as many kids this school year as possible. We are kicking off our campaign on April 1, 2017 and need your donation to do so.
Your 2017 Tax Deductible Donation will be used to cover the cost of printing 10,000 books. We have partnered with organizations like the YMCA, Radio One, The Boys and Girls Club, Communities in Schools and Wake Young Leadership Academy to not only distribute the books to K-5 classes across the country, but also provide mentoring though our READ ABOUT IT, BE ABOUT IT initiative.
The University of Virginia's Center for Politics has added "Gary Sees History: A Child's Journey" to its Suggested Resources for Elementary Civics Instruction. The book has also been acquired by The County of Los Angeles Public Library System.
