Reach Out Penrith
In June of 2018, ReachOut NSW Australia Ltd opened its doors to the Penrith community. ReachOut NSW is a not-for-profit food relief organisation that fundraises and asks for donations so they can financially fund programs and provide food hampers to struggling Aussies. These hampers ensure direct food relief for Australians who might be suffering disability, hunger, homelessness, poverty, sickness, misfortune, destitution and unemployment in our community.
According to a hunger report produced by our friends at Food Bank, as many as 4 million Australians have experienced food insecurity in the last 12 months. 76% of those people were categorised as having ‘very low food security’ and 22% of all food insecure Australians were children. Between 2017 and 2018, there was a 5% increase in the number of Australians needing food relief charities: that equates to an increase of over 380,000 Australians in one year.
ReachOut NSW guarantees that each hamper distributed has a week’s worth of food.
Our daily hampers include:
1 x large box of pantry food
1 x large box of fresh fruit and vegetables.
It is ReachOut NSW’s main priority to bring food relief to struggling Aussies. By donating today, you are giving directly to your community in need.
