Bailey's Hawaii Fund

My name is Stephanie Brown.  My 23 year old cousin, Bailey Byrd, has been battling a rare form of cancer called, Ovarian Cancer Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumor,  for the past three years.  Bailey has survived two stem cell transplants, numerous surgeries, and a massive amount of chemotherapy.  Bailey's dream is to go to Hawaii with her family.  During her last stem cell transplant the doctors told her it was going to be horrific and she would need something positive to keep her in good spirits.  Bailey's focus was going to Hawaii with her family.   

Bailey's cancer can occur at any age but most commonly presents during the perimenopausal or early postmenopausal period, with a median age of diagnosis between 50 and 54 years The estimated incidence ofJuvenile Granulosa Cell Tumor in the United States is 0.99/100,000, whereas the reported incidence in other developed countries ranges from 0.4 to 1.7 per 100,000.
