In support of the Main Fundraising Activities we have decided to set ourselves a challenge and undertake a Sponsored Event with the aim to Run, Walk, or Hike the distance from Romford to Philadelphia, USA, before the band set off in July 2026.

This is a distance 5725km !!!

We need your help and we are looking for the your sponsorship of the team undertaking this challenge.

Why We Need Your Support

The Romford Drum & Trumpet Corps (Registered Charity No: 1177736) has been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent the UK at the USA’s 250th anniversary celebrations in Philadelphia in July 2026!

As the ONLY UK band invited, we will proudly take part in a series of prestigious events, including America’s longest-running 4th of July parade—the Grand Glorious Patriotic Parade.

This is an incredible honour, but we need your help to make it happen.

We need to raise as much as possible to help cover:

✅ Travel & accommodation for our young musicians

✅ New instruments to help us perform at our very best

✅ New uniforms so we can represent the UK with pride

We are a passionate, community-driven youth marching band based in East London, providing music education and performance opportunities at no cost to our members.
