Help Khloe Walk Again

Khloe, a small three-year-old puppy living in Queens, NY, is the most loving, energetic and full of life dog anyone has ever met. She is the best 4-legged companion and has been given the nickname ‘Baby’ in our family. Khloe came into our lives when things were in transition and she’s made our days more enjoyable and easier to get by. Having a dog was an adventure and we couldn’t have asked for a better puppy to be on the journey with.

Recently, our poor puppy’s health has begun to deteriorate over the course of 5 days. What was thought to be lower back and leg pain, lead to a heartbreaking situation where Khloe has become partially paralyzed in both of her back legs, due to spinal damage. This led to extensive bruising and swelling of the spinal cord, which ultimately immobilized her. Our poor Baby can’t walk and is in so much pain that she would constantly squeal. She’s become so immobile that she would just sit, not move, wouldn’t eat or drink water. As a family, this was truly heart breaking to watch.

Our family is seeking to raise $15,000 to help with the cost of Khloe’s spinal-disc operation and medical expenses; an estimate of $7,600 has been quoted. However, the doctor has notified us that Baby may need therapy, and to be kept longer under strict confinement with more medications. As you can imagine, the costs are way too high and we’re not sure where these bills will land because the doctors are unsure. Our family wants to be prepared no matter what happens to our beloved puppy. We love Khloe so much and want to see that she gets back to walking, running and making us laugh. If she unfortunately cannot do these things again, we want to be prepared for the costs that will incur. We want our puppy to be around for long time, and hope to see her being her old self again!



Any money that we don’t use will be donated to the local shelter! We need funds as soon as we can get them. If anyone has information on immobilized dogs, the expenses or anything else to help the situation, please contact us!
