Ray's open heart surgery fund

Unfortunately after 5 years of heart disease, I had a heart attack a little over a month ago. I was informed that the severity of my disease has reached critical level. If I don't get the surgery required, which is open heart surgery, I'll be in congestive heart failure within the year. Because of this, the process is being expedited. The plan is for me to have surgery before Christmas. Having 6 kids we raise as a combined family, this is making things very tight for us.. My insurance will cover a majority of the cost however they approved the surgery at a different location than requested because obviously insurance knows better for us than we do. This change is going to cause a financial hardship as the facility is a couple hours away from home. Since we don't have family in Jacksonville, this means lodging, food, and gas are going to add up quickly and just before Christmas. On top of that, I'll be out of work for at least a month. The financial hardship I am imposing on my amazing wife who will be by my side is creating a great amount of stress on myself and her. I hate asking for help but unfortunately I am at that point. I know it's nobody else's responsibility, but any help would be more than appreciated and will be for the sole purpose of making sure my family is taken care of.
