Ray’s Medical Bills & Absence From Work

Donation protected
I’m Sydney, lucky enough to be Ray McEntee’s youngest daughter. I may be bias, but I truly believe he is the most genuinely kind and loving. He is hardworking, as he worked multiple jobs at all times when I was growing up so that my family and I were secure and then some, and supported my mom while she stayed home after she became sick a few years ago. He is always happy to lend a helping hand, and does anything in his power to lift those around him up. He is goofy and brightens any room, and has some funny dad jokes as he should. He is a rockstar, even if he hasn’t played with his past band members since I graduated high school because he has been supporting us all and was building my mom her dream home for them to retire to. He puts his family and friends above himself always, without a single doubt or moment to spare. My sister, my mother and I are so grateful and blessed that he is still with us today. This past Sunday, my mom woke up to a highway patrol officer knocking at her door. My sister and I woke up to our mom calling us so early in the morning that it was still dark out. My dad had left for work early that morning on his motorcycle just a few miles from home when a deer jumped out in front of him. He managed to roll himself out of the road with all of his left sided ribs shattered, his shoulder and blade broken, vertebrae in his neck and back impacted and broken, and road rash all over. Thankfully, his helmet was on and protected his head when it bounced off the pavement. The first thing he did when he came to was dig his phone from his pocket to call my mom, and then 911. He has been in the ICU, and is expected to be held in the hospital for some time. He is fortunate today, as he is still here with us and in better shape than he could have been. This will be a long and painful recovery for him. He is humbly gracious and thankful to be alive, as are we, his family. I write this because of love. That IS my dad. He is all things love. Loves his wife, endlessly as clear as day. Loves his girls he brags of out of pure happiness and proudness of us. Loves his friends, who he looks out for and who looks out for him. It is because of him that I am knowingly secure, well educated, successful and proud of my accomplishments. I owe them all to him. Our family is not perfect, but God I am SO blessed to call them mine. To know I have a father, a best friend, a rock, a strong hug, a lifesaver, an honest and hardworking role model who I hold SO dear to me. I do not want him to worry about anything but healing and growing as he has done for me all my life. So, I ask you to help me do so. If you are able or would like to donate to help with his incoming medical bills and absence from work, the McEntees would be so very thankful. If not, please share and send prayers his way. We are so grateful just to have him here with us.
