One night last week Ray was walking home when he was struck by a motor vehicle. Ray sustained serious injuries and was medivaced to a regional university hospital. Ray's condition was dire and his initial prognosis was not good. In the following days Ray was stabilized and his numerous injuries treated with a succession of surgeries.
The immediate outlook for Ray includes months of continued hospital stay and rehabilitation. Ray's family is not local and in addition to the stress of having a loved one seriously injured they have been saddled with the burden of having to pay to stay close to Ray.
The family shouldn't have to worry about hotels and meals. They need to be focused on caring for Ray while he heals and supporting him during his long rehabilitation.
We are asking friends, family and colleagues to come together to help provide some support for Ray and his family so they can concentrate on the most important thing: helping Ray get better.
