Raquel's Family Memorial Fund

The recent passing of Raquel Morales was devastating for so many of her colleagues, family and friends at Valencia. She was loving, maternal, and affectionate to so many of us that have had the good fortune to have known her. She also poured her love and affection into her work with her students for over 25 years,  as she helped guide them toward their academic goals. It was Raquel’s wish to not have a funeral or wake upon her death, and asked to instead have a celebration of her life. Her wishes will be carried out with a celebration of her life on July 11, 2020.

Raquel was the primary caregiver for her son,  Mason, who many of you have watch grow into a lovely young man of fourteen years. Mason currently resides with Raquel’s mother, his grandmother. We ask that in place of flowers or other gifts that are customary in mourning loved ones, contributions be made to a GoFundMe account that has been created for Mason. All contributions will be used fund Mason’s school, clothing, food and other basic needs he will have during this challenging phase of his life.



Raquel was devoted to her career, her son and her friends. She was a warrior until the very end, rest in peace Raquel.
