Many of you may not know but I have been diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) as well as an anxiety disorder. This isn't something that is easily dealth with nor does it affect everyone the same. It is a chronic condition and can only be dealth with long term.
My Doctors have told me 'IBS' is used as a blanket termonology to encompass the complexity of irritable bowels. They explained the stomach is like the second brain, it is very intricate and affects every part of the body including our nervous systems, our hormones and even the way our organs regulate. I found out my new found anxiety disorder, along with insomnia, also came from this ongoing stomach discomfort/pain.
About 10 months ago I took sick leave from work. I had become so ill that I had gone down to 125lbs. and could barely manage a few hrs of work with constant nausea, and bowel pain. Later on, I was also experiencing heart palpitations and frequent dizzyness. Since then I have been given countless x-rays, ultrasounds, percriptions and blood tests. As is, Doctors arent sure how to go foward except through alternative health.
Thats when we discovered Indian natural therapy. Ayurveda is a very powerful and unique naturopathic system of medicine that has already shown positive results for my mother and I. We have been in contact and had trials with an Ayurvedic Doctor in the States, however, supplements can only go so far. Ayurveda offers so much more in terms of unique bowel purging, toxin elimination, mental health therapy and much more. Unforetunately no treatments centers exist within Canada. Our goal is to attend one of these centers to finally get the help we need.
It has been a very trying time for our family seeing our mother degrade with no support from western medicine, and me, following closely behind in the same footsteps. I DO NOT claim that this alternative health system is better then our western medicine, simply that it is offering us something that hasn't been yet: a chance to get better. This Go Fund Me campaign is to help raise as much money as we can in the next few months to get us both to treatment.
