Randy Jacobsma Memorial Fund

Randy Jacobsma was a husband, father, son and friend to many. He fought hard for 5 weeks in the ICU at Sanford after being diagnosed with Influenza and pneumonia. His lungs further declined to ARDS and other system failures. He was called home to his Savior on April 25, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Randy was a community leader, county treasurer, church and school board member, coach, and so much more. To me, however, he and his wife, Melinda, were my friends and neighbors. Our families grew up together and we supported one another in our dreams and struggles. We celebrated the weddings of our children and births of grandchildren together. We never imagined, though, that we would face an earthly parting so soon.
Randy was an incredibly giving man and will be missed by so many as he spent his life serving his community and building relationships. We especially feel for his family in this time as they mourn his passing and begin to consider the financial uncertainty ahead. We have been given an opportunity to show our love through support for his family. I’m hoping this fundraiser can help lift up Melinda and provide encouragement for the future. The funds raised will go directly to the family and will help pay for final arrangements, basic expenses, and to continue making payments on the family home.

While we wish to bless them with financial help, equally important is our prayer support. God has been the source of their strength and hope, and we know He will be faithful to their family. Please continue to lift them up in prayer as they follow God’s leading. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’” Lamentations 3:22-24
