Randi Carlson's PATH to SLP

My name is Randi Lynn Carlson. I am going to school to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I was inspired to follow this "path" after witnessing family members struggle with not only speech, but other things also related to that area. 

I began my college journey at Briercrest, in Caronport, SK in 2016, after graduating from high school. I chose to begin my journey there because I was awarded a scholarship and they are affiliated with Minot State, where the Communication Disorder program is highly recognized. I have completed the three available years at Briercrest, and now I am at the stage of transferring to Minot. This coming fall semester will begin the final 2 years of my undergraduate degree.

My tuition is estimated at about $18000 for one undergraduate year. This includes tuition, housing, food, textbooks, supplies, and transportation. Being an international student, I am unable to work off-campus, and on-campus jobs are few and far between. My parents have supported my education thus far, but due to health issues, their finances have been depleted.
