Ciao! Siamo le volontarie dell'associazione Amici animali Ticino! Ci occupiamo prevalentemente di gatti randagi sul nostro territorio, sterilizzando, curando e, se il gatto è adatto, trovandogli adozione.
Seguiamo i nostri adottanti prima, durante e dopo l'adozione, e cerchiamo di trasmettere il più possibile le corrette informazioni sulla specie, sulle sue caratteristiche e sui suoi bisogni, nell'ottica di costruire rapporti umano-animale arricchenti, giusti e benefici per tutti.
HI! My name is Sara and I am a volunteer of the Amici animali Ticino association, which takes care of treating, sterilizing and, when possible, having stray cats present in the area adopted, following cat colonies and passing on the correct information on the knowledge of the cat in the population (behavior, species needs, health, alternatives and opportunities for coexistence with humans).
Unfortunately there are still many people who trivialize the relationship with animals, considering them as objects without their own inner life or as emotional substitutes; in both cases by not treating them ethically and appropriately.
We offer free advice and support to those who want to adopt a cat before, during and after the adoption procedure, in an encounter that we hope will be enriching and beneficial for all the parties involved, while for those cats who do not have the characteristics or the pleasure of leading a domestic life, we try to bring them back to their territory or at least to integrate them into realities similar to what they have always known.
Our goal - and our dream - would be to help build a society that is fit, open and just towards all living beings.
