Rams Charge for Nationals 2018

Please meet the varsity cheer team from West Hempstead High School in West Hempstead, New York our RAMS.  This year, their coaches enrolled the team in a UCA Regionals competition with the intention of giving the team and program the experience to compete at an elite level.  The day of regionals was their first time out on the mat for the 2017-2018 competition season. The girls fought for 2 minutes and 30 seconds of their routine and came in 3rd place in the non-tumbling division!  With their 3rd place win came an unexpected BID and the opportunity to compete in the National High School Cheerleading Championships!

With this unexpected BID came all the possibilities of these girls actually making the trip to Orlando, Florida for the FIRST TIME EVER IN WEST HEMPSTEAD HISTORY! Unfortunately, the girls are not financially able to afford the trip on their own and with a school district that has about 46% of students with free and reduced lunch,the district can not afford to assist them either.  The girls have to pay for every part of this trip on their own, even their bus transportation to and from the airport.  

These girls work hard all year to keep their grades up, support other sports, participate in community service events, raise scholarship money for peers, and so much more!  With that being said, it’s time to give back to the girls who give so much to their school and community! We are asking for your help in rewriting history for the West Hempstead Varsity RAMS Cheerleading team.  Any amount will help these girls on their road to nationals.   We need to fund this dream by January 26, 2018!!!!
