Ramos Family Medical Expenses

Donation protected
This has been created on behalf of a good friend, Cris Ramos. Cris is 41 years old. He has 3 children with his wonderful wife of almost 20 years, Susie Silver Ramos. Cris followed in the footsteps of his father learning what it means to work hard, be responsible, provide for his family and be a good friend. Just like his father, Cris chose to be an independent contractor for his occupation. Cris specializes in all types of construction which he has come to master over his many years of experience. His job has demanded many years of very hard work and many hours away from home. He does this because he takes responsibility for providing quality work for his clients and, more importantly, providing a better quality of life for his family. Cris has never lived outside his means and has always made sure to put money aside for emergencies because he understands the ups and downs of his business. He has never asked anyone for anything that he couldn’t provide for himself. It’s because of that fact, that I’m submitting this on his behalf.
Over the course of approximately 2 years, Cris had been struggling with his health. He experienced dramatic weight loss, anemia and a significant loss of energy. Cris continued to keep up his busy work schedule while his health was failing. He also made numerous doctor visits to try and figure out what was going on. Recently, he finally learned the reason. He had a cancerous growth on his kidney. As a father of children, I can not imagine the fear in not knowing if I’ll live to see my children grow up. Yet, this is the position Cris is in and he has handled it with courage and determination. By God’s grace, Cris had a successful surgery to remove the growth and start receiving treatments. Removing the growth also meant removing his kidney, spleen and a lymph node.
Cris has always been able to pay out of pocket for any medical issues that his family has had. In the past, he could pick up extra work and do whatever he needed to do take care of his responsibilities. However, this is something he could have never prepared for. Not only will the medical bills be expensive but he will not have the ability to work for quite some time. Even when he recovers, he may not be able to perform the same types of hard labor he was used to doing.
Cris is a good father, husband, brother, son and friend. Most of all, he is a good man. I know Cris and his family would be very grateful and appreciative of any help you could provide to help shoulder this burden.
