and heritage? RamadanREADy is here to
help you accomplish this vision.
RamadanREADyis back in 2019! In 2017, we secured over 50 libraries in the United States. In 2018, we almost doubled that number. We want to keep the momentum going and secure more libraries and schools this year.
The secured libraries have agreed to either a display, craft time activity, book reading or even acceptance of Islamic book donations.
May 5, 2019, we embark on the first day of Ramadan. Our goal with RamadanREADy and GoFundMe is to raise $5000 to create and put together these RamadanREADy KITS. Each kit will cost $100 each and include an introductory set of three children's books, infographics about values in Islam, master copy of an arts and crafts project corresponding with each book and ramadan decor.
We have already secured 27 libraries in Southern California so far. Volunteers and libraries have been contacting us for a kit. We can’t guarantee a kit unless we have funds.
RamadanREADy has also been fortunate enough to Collaborate with two wonderful companies specializing in Ramadan and Eid Decor. In 2018, we collaborated with Rana Bacaloni, the creator and owner of Eid Creations. In 2017, we collaborated with Jomana Siddiqui, the creator and owner of Modern Eid.
We need your help to meet our goal by April 10th, in order to purchase all the necessary supplies, books and materials to assemble the kits. We challenge you to ask yourself, “is your library RamadanREADy?” Please donate as much or as little as you can. $100 will sponsor a library.
