Ralphie's Medical Fund

I'm starting this campaign for Ralph, who recently suffered a mountain biking accident that has left him disabled and unable to return to work for the next 6 months.
Last week, Wednesday, he shattered his tibial plateau in 3 places and on Monday of this week, went under the knife to put it all back together with a plate, screws, and bone cement.
It was in a sense, a freak accident... as his leg got caught in the frame of his bike at the top of a 75 degree drop and snapped his leg, leaving him tumbling down 20 to 25 ft with his leg still caught in the frame.
Now, what we need him to focus on is being patient, recovering as best as possible, and allowing others to help him through this- as he will not be able to begin to bear any weight on his leg for at least 3 months.
For these next few months, he is going to require constant physical support to accomplish the most basic of tasks. Unfortunately, with the bills that we will have coming our way (hospital, office visits, therapy, meds, rent, and all of the bills we already had stacked up for each month) and NO health insurance, they would leave me having to work every hour of every day and would not allow me to provide him with the care that he needs to receive to get through this. Nevertheless, even if I had the option to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, there is no possibility that I would be able to cover a very large portion of these bills- leaving us in a ton of debt, and Ralph unable to focus on recovering.
Ralph has always been an independent, hard-working, giving, and beautiful human... So being thrown into this position is going to prove very challenging for him.
Asking for any sort of assistance is difficult for us both, but as I mentioned above, his recovery is what's MOST important and we have reached a point where we just can not do this on our own.
We have asked for assistance from the government from a few different angles... But that is proving to be a flop.
The goal I have set is, of course, astronomically lower than what we are actually left owing at the end of it all. At this point, we are beyond grateful to receive any help we can get. If we can hit or exceed the goal, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Regardless of what you donate, you are truly shining a light on this difficult time, and aiding Ralph in getting back on his feet to spread the love and laughter we all know him for.
