Rally 4 Alex!

Just a few days before Christmas, on his birthday, Alex was enjoying tobogganing with his friends when he took a hard hit going down the hill. After hitting head on with a light post he was in incredible pain and unable to feel his legs. His friends immediately called 911 to get him to the hospital where a team of healthcare staff received him into the ER.

Alex required back surgery for a T4-T7 decompression with fusion and instrumentation and was admitted to the ICU.

At only 15 with loss of feeling and function Alex has begun a long journey to recovery. There are many changes and modifications for family to make around the home and for transportation. The funds will be used to create easier access in and around the home, for transportation, to purchase a wheelchair and equipment, and pay for other medical related costs.

Even as I create this page there is already a great interest in supporting Alex. So many are reaching out to find ways to help. Support is already overwhelming from friends, family, the Greek community, fellow cadets, the students of St. Joan of Arc, and the students and Trojans of Bowness.

Alex is already strong, brave, and courageous, and "Rally 4 Alex" is intended to keep him going strong!
