Rally for Rino: Dr. Luehman's Partner in Need

Dr. Tino Luehman, a treasured veterinarian in the San Francisco Bay Area, had saved the lives of thousands of animals. Through her work in emergency vet medicine and in the rescue community, Dr. Luehman has dedicated her life to the selfless service of so many in need whether they have feathers, fur, or scales.

Now, Dr. Luehman needs our support during a tremendously difficult time. On April 25th, 2024, Dr. Luehman’s longtime partner Rino was involved in a collision with a dump truck while he was riding his bicycle. Since the collision, Rino has remained hospitalized in the ICU — sustaining a multitude of injuries and complications.

Dr. Luehman needs to be by Rino’s bedside at hospital to ensure he is not removing IVs and other life sustaining support right now.

Rino’s long-term recovery is unknown. For now, it’s a day-by-day approach to tackling his unexpected health complications from this traumatic event.

Today, as friends of Dr. Luehman, we are asking if you can make a compassionate contribution to help with living expenses and bills while Dr. Luehman is off work. One of the main expenses for our fundraiser is for the ongoing daily care of medically-sensitive rabbits and exotic birds she is fostering at her home.
