Hey everyone, my name is Spencer Fabris. I am creating this GoFundMe to help raise money for my mother Jennifer fabris. In September of 2022 she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and was left with a colostomy bag and taking chemo treatments every 2 weeks. July of 2023 she had a scan done which showed a spot on her liver. After that discovery they preformed a biopsy and found out it had spread and was stage 4 liver cancer. Fast forward to February of 2024, she was transferred to musc in Charleston. There she received the reversal surgery on the colostomy. During this same surgery they removed the most of the tumor on her liver, which left her with around 50% of her liver and took some of her diaphragm as well. Shortly after recovering from surgery she started back on chemo and would continue until late June 2024 when she started becoming toxic to the medication. Me and my brother Zach took her to Beaufort memorial July 8th 2024. They discovered a very bad bacterial infection in her gut which caused her to start going toxic. They emergency transported her to musc and they did not think she would make it on the way there. She stayed in the hospital for around a week before coming back home. They kept her off of chemo until October of 2024 which continued until march of this year 2025. They did a CT scan in march and found out it had spread into both of her lungs and her mediastinum. After being diagnosed with lung cancer, she was placed back onto chemo with a new kind of medication to help control the lungs. Fast forward to Thursday (July 24th) I took her to the ER for severe leg and knee pains. They did a ultrasound and X-rays. The ER doctor told us that it has spread into her bone. She has a appointment at MUSC in Charleston tomorrow the 28th and I will update this after we talk with the radiologist/oncologist tomorrow. She has been out of work since July of 2024 and was put on disability. My mom has never liked the idea of asking for help but me and my family think it is time to reach out. I am 19 and my brother Zach is 23. My grandmother also lives with us but is not capable of doing much by herself. I am making this gofundme to help my mom cover some expenses/ bills and offer some sort of relief during this tough time. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
