Dear Community,
Our dear friend Del Williams is now in THE fight of her lifetime and we need to come together to help her ease her financial burden. About two weeks ago, she found out she had Stage 4 pancreatic cancer - "the silent killer."
Then, to add insult to injury, her landlady is asking her to vacate the room she rents in her home. She won’t be able to work for some time and she will need funds for her basic care, rent, bills and anything else she might need in and out of the hospital.
Del has a cadre of doctors trying to figure out a treatment plan for the cancer and other side effects from it. But in the meantime, our girl has been suffering in great pain. Del was put on wrong drugs so instead of thinning her blood, the drug created many blood clots, she also has a broken hip, and Doctors say she has an infection one minute, and that she doesn’t the next.
Her diagnosis alone would be extremely stressful, but being made to move and/or store her stuff is another huge stressor she doesn’t need right now.
Many of you have been sending words of support on Facebook, and Del appreciates every prayer and wish, but thoughts and prayers don’t pay the bills and that’s how we can ease her pain and help her right now.
This is very hard for Del to do as you all know she is a self-sufficient, humble person, but many of us urged her to initiate this GoFundMe. I was put in the same position six months ago and my community stepped up big time and saved my butt. Now it's time to pay it forward and help Del raise the funds she needs for her basic survival.
