Raksha: Help small businesses to operate safely

Donation protected
The COVID-19 Pandemic has already created many disruptions in the workflow of small businesses. Quite a few businesses are concerned that they may perish if the crisis persists for another couple of months. According to some surveys conducted, mass layoffs of employees have taken place and most of these businesses are financially very fragile at this point in time. With monthly expenses approximately coming around $5000, and less than one month of cash in hand, the small businesses are on the front of losing their stand in the market.

“A small business is an amazing way to serve and leave an impact on the world you live in.” - Nicole Snow

#Raksha is a Sanskrit word meaning “protect against evil”.  Medpick has initiated #Raksha, a campaign to supply FREE Face Masks to Small Businesses in the Boston & North Shore area; aiming to keep them safe until the COVID crisis is over for good. We are undertaking this initiative to make sure these businesses and their employees feel secure enough to keep working amidst the crisis. Price gouging, hoarding supplies, increase in product prices have made it very difficult for small businesses to procure essential supplies. Through our campaign, we will source quality products and distribute them to any small businesses in need of them. By sharing the fundraiser with your friends and family, and donating your bit, you can help in saving them and the community you live in!

Join hands with Medpick to raise sufficient funds that will take care of their safety, by providing Face Masks for FREE.

Supporting Small Businesses thrive during COVID-19 crisis

Small businesses account for 48 percent of the US economy, with an employee strength of less than 500. It is the only type of business that can survive even by serving a reduced population; such as in small towns and villages. On the other hand, in big cities, these small businesses offer diverse, unique as well as personalized experiences to their customers. They also present numerous employment opportunities to people who may not have a chance at employment in larger corporations. In some instances, budding talents who can bring forth new products or implement fresh thoughts on existing ideas also search for opportunities in small businesses. Larger businesses benefit from these small businesses through outsourcing and carry out various business activities.
