ROCKIN' THAT WIG LOOK!  Raising money for Sara Harding's Cancer Causes

The 'SHmazing' Sara Harding (as she says ... not of Girls Aloud) that so many of us know and love, is fighting a very aggressive breast cancer and is due to start a course of chemo from late August   

For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary woman, strong, caring and is always the first to step up and open up her magnificent heart to anyone in need.  She is now in need of our help, and we are setting up this page for those that want to support something very important for her, to collectively raise some funds for two very important causes, that are close to her heart.

Hair!
Everyone knows that Sara wears her golden locks with pride, she could give David Lee Roth, Dave Coverdale and Dee Snider a good run for their money,  swaying her beautiful long blond hair to her fave rockin' tunes.  Now she has to undergo 4 months of chemotherapy, followed by weeks of radiation and the medical team have advised her that she will lose her hair.  

Because of Cancer, she will be unable to work for a while and will likely not be able to return until the Spring, she is getting by, but naturally, money is getting tighter and tighter.   The Wig options for her are limited to the synthetic one as Sara says it ...." if I wear one of those plastic fantastic do's I will be sweatin' like a weight-watcher in a cake shop"  - so I think we can do better for her, but it is costly and we want to raise £3,000 for a real hair wig - see pic, which is unbelievably expensive, but she is worth it!

The Cancer Clinic Make-Over Mission – West Middlesex University Hospital, Breast Clinic, Twickenham Road, Isleworth, Middx TW7 6AF

Anything in excess of the wig cost, will go towards the cancer clinic at her NHS Hospital West Middlesex University Hospital Breast Clinic.  It needs a magical makeover from all of you to make it a more comforting and welcoming place.  This is a place that patients and their loved ones have to sit while they are waiting for maybe the worst or best news of cancer results.   It is an emotional journey for anyone that has to sit there, and Sara wants to donate a makeover as a thank you and to provide a serene sensory space for those that she understands only too well, need this space to be comforting more than most.   It is also a seating area that is used by the amazing oncologists, doctors, nurses and specialist teams - so it is so important we can help.  We hope to raise a further £3,000 towards this.

Sara will be forever grateful to any donations, whatever you can and as she fights in true Harding spirit, together we will make her journey a little easier and more comfortable, plus give her a project to produce (to put her energy into this project with the same passion she produces her TV shows), this project ... The SARA HARDING Cancer Clinic Make-Over Show - let's make it a hit for her!
