Raising Money for God's Ministry

Everyone has struggles at some point in their lives and right now my Pastor, his family and our small church of Flint: WestSide Bible Baptist Church are in need of some community support.

At West Side Bible Baptist church, Pastor Brad Lake has faithfully served for more than 30 years.  This past September Pastor Lake was diagnosed with stage three lymphatic Cancer.  Through much prayer and fasting the will of God was sought out.  Pastor first felt led to boost his immune system by using the Gersons Cancer Fighting juicing system coupled with Vitamin C and O-Zone treatments in Mexico. After a few months of these treatments the Cancer was not responding in the way that all had hoped, so the decision was made to start chemo treatments.

The Chemo treatments are expensive and with the current insurance that Pastor Lake has, the first $10,000 needs to come out of pocket.  The church has decided to take on this deductible and help our Pastor pay for this large expense.  Bills have started rolling in, between frequent trips to Huston for the chemo treatments and the large $10,000 deductible the debt is more than our small church can immediately fund. 

The church itself is also in need of some major repairs.  We have had accounts set up for the repair of things like the roof, kitchen, and Sunday school rooms in the past.   This said, when this diagnosis was known, all of these funds were diverted to this treatment plan by a vote of the church membership.   These extra funds are now depleted and the church is reaching out for help from the community.

The first $10,000 donated will go directly to the insurance deducible to ensure that Pastor Brad Lake is able to continue to receive these life saving treatments.  All other funds received will go into accounts for improvements to the church itself including the projects listed above.
