Raising Funds-Houston Homeless Single Mother of 4

Hello everyone!
This fundraiser was created for my God-sister and her children who are in need of immediate assistance. Ms. Freeman is a single mother of four that is unable to work due to the lack of child care and medical support for her children. Ms. Freeman was laid off from her job and began tending to her children full time while the children’s father continued to work. As time went on their relationship became tumultuous and strained, resulting in the father walking away from her and his children. He has not been present in their lives for over a year.
With no job or financial assistance Ms. Freeman was unable to maintain their home and ended up living between different shelters, and presently her car. Due to COVID-19, she was asked to leave the homeless shelter, because her children have underlying medical conditions and were considered high risk. One of her children (5yo son) is autistic with severe behavioral issues that require her constant care. Ms. Freeman is currently unable to work due to her children’s medical needs and the lack of having reliable childcare in place. She is currently unable to receive emergency financial benefits and needs to be present with her children while they attend school virtually. Her children’s ages are 7 (son), 6 (daughter), 5 (son), 4 (son), and they are all dependent on her.
With these funds we hope to secure a safe and stable home for Ms. Freeman and her four children. Provide medical and dental care for the family, and ensure that her child that is autistic receives the necessary therapy and intervention services. We also want to ensure that all four children have a laptop and the tools needed for them to succeed in school. We want to get Ms. Freeman the assistance she needs so that she is able to effectively care for her children, and so that she can return to the workforce to become financially independent.
We hope to raise these funds as soon as possible, so Ms. Freeman and her children will no longer have to wonder where they will sleep. We are extremely grateful and appreciative of any and all donations to secure a safe haven for this family as they have already been through harrowing experiences these previous months.
