Raising funds for treatment for MDDS

Hello everyone! I have recently been diagnosed with a rare movement disorder called Mal de Débarquement Syndrome. This is a neurological disorder in which you always feel a sensation of rocking or swaying, and can often leave one with cognitive impairment, fatigue, inability to concentrate, and feelings of anxiety and depression. This disorder was triggered for me directly following a 5-day cruise, and has greatly impacted my quality of life as well as cognitive abilities both at work and in my personal life. There is a clinic in New York City at Mount Sinai Hospital that has found the first effective treatment for this condition (in 2014). The procedure involves 4 days of intensive vestibular-ocular therapy at various points throughout the day, and has a high success rate of effectively treating this disorder. Because this is such a rare condition, my medical insurance will not cover the cost of the procedure, so I will need to cover this out of pocket. I will also need to book transportation as well as hotels in NYC within walking distance of Mount Sinai Hospital for the extent of this trip (which is a little over one week, including time for recovery).
